Abu A.Q. Abu, having served as a 2nd Class Airman in the U. S. Air Force
and now a court clerk works three days a week on his half-hour TV show The Abu Show, to “edify, educate, and
entertain” viewers by exploring elections, politics and life as it affects African Americans.
“No community topic is taboo”, say Abu. “If you need assistance
and I can help you by having you on my show, I will help you,” he adds. Over the years Abu has used
his TV show to highlight community issues as it relates to improving the quality of life for the poor and those in need.
His love for community, especially as it relates to empowering the youth
has prompted him to establish the non-profit organization, Quawi Community Outreach, Inc. Through this
organization, he hopes to serve needy youth.
His love for literature has
also led him to publish his first book titled, The Power of Introspection, a book of poems that examines life’s concepts.
